حَدَّثَنِي حَامِدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ عَنْ النَّضْرِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ وَأَنَسٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ حَيٌّ قَالَ أَنَسٌلَوْلَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا يَتَمَنَّيَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ الْمَوْتَ لَتَمَنَّيْتُهُ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepadaku [Hamid bin 'Umar] telah menceritakan kepada kami ['Abdul Wahid] telah menceritakan kepada kami ['Ashim] dari [An-Nadlr Bin Anas] yang saat itu Anas masih hidup, [Anas] berkata; kalau saja Rasulullah Shallallahu'alaihi wasallam tidak bersabda: "Janganlah di antara kalian mengharapkan kematian", maka tentu saya akan mengharapkannya.

Imam Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj was a student of Imam al-Bukhari. He compiled Sahih Muslim selecting from approximately 300,000 hadiths, arranging his collection thematically and grouping all chains of each hadith together — making it uniquely easy to study the complete transmission history of a single narration.
Sahih Muslim took 15 years to complete. Its unique arrangement — all isnads for one hadith in one place — remains unmatched in the hadith literature.
