حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ وَعَمْرُو بْنُ سَوَّادٍ قَالَا أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَيَنْتَهِيَنَّ أَقْوَامٌ عَنْ رَفْعِهِمْ أَبْصَارَهُمْ عِنْدَ الدُّعَاءِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ أَوْ لَتُخْطَفَنَّ أَبْصَارُهُمْ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepadaku [ath-Thahir] dan [Amru bin Sawwad] keduanya berkata, telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Ibnu Wahb] telah menceritakan kepadaku [al-Laits bin Sa'd] dari [Ja'far bin Rabi'ah] dari [Abdurrahman al-A'raj] dari [Abu Hurairah radhiyallahu'anhu] bahwa Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda, "Hendaklah suatu kaum menghentikan untuk mengangkat pandangan mereka ke langit ketika berdoa dalam shalat atau (kalau tidak), niscaya pandangan mereka akan dicabut (dibutakan)."

Imam Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj was a student of Imam al-Bukhari. He compiled Sahih Muslim selecting from approximately 300,000 hadiths, arranging his collection thematically and grouping all chains of each hadith together — making it uniquely easy to study the complete transmission history of a single narration.
Sahih Muslim took 15 years to complete. Its unique arrangement — all isnads for one hadith in one place — remains unmatched in the hadith literature.
