و حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى أَخْبَرَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسٍقَالَ أَنَسٌ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْمَعُ بُكَاءَ الصَّبِيِّ مَعَ أُمِّهِ وَهُوَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَيَقْرَأُ بِالسُّورَةِ الْخَفِيفَةِ أَوْ بِالسُّورَةِ الْقَصِيرَةِ
English Translation
Dan telah menceritakan kepada kami [Yahya bin Yahya] telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Ja'far bin Sulaiman] dari [Tsabit al-Bunani] dari [Anas], Anas berkata, "Dahulu Rasulullah Shallallahu'alaihiwasallam mendengar tangisan seorang anak kecil bersama ibunya, sedangkan beliau dalam keadaan shalat, lalu beliau membaca surat yang ringan atau surat yang pendek."

Imam Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj was a student of Imam al-Bukhari. He compiled Sahih Muslim selecting from approximately 300,000 hadiths, arranging his collection thematically and grouping all chains of each hadith together — making it uniquely easy to study the complete transmission history of a single narration.
Sahih Muslim took 15 years to complete. Its unique arrangement — all isnads for one hadith in one place — remains unmatched in the hadith literature.
