أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ الْمَوْصِلِيُّ عَنْ الْمُعَافَى عَنْ عِصَامِ بْنِ قُدَامَةَ عَنْ مَالِكٍ وَهُوَ ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ الْخُزَاعِيُّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَرَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَاضِعًا يَدَهُ الْيُمْنَى عَلَى فَخِذِهِ الْيُمْنَى فِي الصَّلَاةِ وَيُشِيرُ بِأُصْبُعِهِ
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepadaku [Muhammad bin 'Abdullah bin 'Ammar Al Maushili] dari [Al Mu'afa] dari ['Ashim bin Qudamah] dari [Malik bin Numair Al Khuza'i] dari [Bapaknya], dia berkata; "Aku melihat Rasulullah Shalallah 'Alaihi Wa Sallam meletakkan tangan kanan diatas paha kanan dalam shalat, dan berisyarat dengan jarinya."

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
