أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ عُثْمَانَ الشَّحَّامِ عَنْ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ قَالَكَانَ أَبِي يَقُولُ فِي دُبُرِ الصَّلَاةِ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ الْكُفْرِ وَالْفَقْرِ وَعَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ فَكُنْتُ أَقُولُهُنَّ فَقَالَ أَبِي أَيْ بُنَيَّ عَمَّنْ أَخَذْتَ هَذَا قُلْتُ عَنْكَ قَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقُولُهُنَّ فِي دُبُرِ الصَّلَاةِ
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepada kami ['Amr bin 'Ali] dia berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Yahya] dari ['Utsman Asy Syahham] dari [Muslim bin Abu Bakrah] dia berkata; [Bapakku] ketika selesai shalat mengucapkan (doa); 'Ya Allah, aku berlindung kepada-Mu dari kekufuran, kefakiran, dan adzab kubur'. Aku juga mengucapkannya, lalu Bapakku berkata; 'Wahai anakku, dari siapa kamu mengambil ini? ' Aku menjawab; 'Darimu'. bapakku kemudian berkata; 'Rasulullah Shallallahu 'Alahi Wa Sallam senantiasa mengucapkannya setiap selesai shalat."

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
