أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَيُّوبَ يُخْبِرُ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ يَقُولُأَشْهَدُ أَنِّي شَهِدْتُ الْعِيدَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَبَدَأَ بِالصَّلَاةِ قَبْلَ الْخُطْبَةِ ثُمَّ خَطَبَ
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Muhammad bin Manshur] dia berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Sufyan] dia berkata; Aku mendengar [Ayyub] mengabarkan dari ['Atha] dia berkata; Aku mendengar [Ibnu 'Abbas] berkata; "Aku bersaksi bahwa aku pernah ikut shalat hari raya bersama Rasulullah Shalallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam. Beliau memulai shalat sebelum khutbah, kemudian berkhutbah."

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
