أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُوتِرُ بِخَمْسٍ وَلَا يَجْلِسُ إِلَّا فِي آخِرِهِنَّ
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Ishaq bin Manshur] dia berkata; telah memberitakan kepada kami ['Abdurrahman] dari [Sufyan] dari [Hisyam bin 'Urwah] dari [Bapaknya] dari ['Aisyah], bahwa Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam pernah shalat witir lima rakaat dan beliau tidak duduk (tasyahud) kecuali pada rakaat terakhir.

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
