أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَىعَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُوتِرُ بِسَبِّحْ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى وَقُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ وَقُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ فَإِذَا فَرَغَ قَالَ سُبْحَانَ الْمَلِكِ الْقُدُّوسِ ثَلَاثًا وَيَمُدُّ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Ishaq bin Manshur] dia berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abu Dawud] dia berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Syu'bah] dari [Qatadah] dari [Zurarah] dari ['Abdurrahman bin Abza], dari Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam, beliau shalat witir dengan membaca surah AI A'laa, surah Al Kaafiruun dan surah Al Ikhlas. Setelah selesai beliau membaca, "Subhanal malikil yudduus" tiga kali, dan beliau memanjangkannya pada yang ketiga.

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
