أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ عَنْ بِشْرٍ وَهُوَ ابْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا تَسُبُّوا الْأَمْوَاتَ فَإِنَّهُمْ قَدْ أَفْضَوْا إِلَى مَا قَدَّمُوا
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Humaid bin Mas'adah] dari [Bisyr bin Al Mufadldlal] dari [Syu'bah] dari [Sulaiman Al A'masy] dari [Mujahid] dari ['Aisyah] dia berkata; Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda: "Janganlah kalian mencela orang-orang yang telah meninggal dunia, karena mereka telah sampai kepada apa yang mereka lakukan (pembalasan amal)."

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
