أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ وَالْحَارِثُ بْنُ مِسْكِينٍ قِرَاءَةً عَلَيْهِ وَأَنَا أَسْمَعُ وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ عَنْ ابْنِ وَهْبٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ بُكَيْرٍ أَنَّ أَبَا السَّائِبِ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يَغْتَسِلْ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي الْمَاءِ الدَّائِمِ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Sulaiman bin Daud] dan [Harits bin Miskin] telah dibacakan kepadanya dan saya mendengar lafazhnya dari dia, dari [Ibnu Wahab] dari [Amr bin Al Harits] dari [Bukair] berkata; [Abu Saib] telah mengabarkan kepadanya bahwasannya dia telah mendengar [Abu Hurairah] berkata; telah bersabda Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam "Janganlah salah seorang dari kalian mandi junub dalam air yang tergenang."

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
