أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الطَّالْقَانِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ وَهُوَ ابْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْوَاسِطِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي مَسْلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَكُنَّا نُسَافِرُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَمِنَّا الصَّائِمُ وَمِنَّا الْمُفْطِرُ وَلَا يَعِيبُ الصَّائِمُ عَلَى الْمُفْطِرِ وَلَا يَعِيبُ الْمُفْطِرُ عَلَى الصَّائِمِ
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Sa'id bin Ya'qub Ath Thalqani] dia berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Khalid bin 'Abdullah Al Wasithi] dari [Abu Maslamah] dari [Abu Nadlrah] dari [Abu Sa'id] dia berkata; "Kami pernah melakukan perjalanan bersama Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam, lalu di antara kami ada yang berpuasa dan ada yang tidak dan orang yang berpuasa tidak mencela orang yang tidak puasa."

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
