أَخْبَرَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَبِي نُعَيْمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ الْحُرِّ بْنِ الصَّيَّاحِ عَنْ هُنَيْدَةَ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ امْرَأَتِهِ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَزْوَاجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَصُومُ تِسْعًا مِنْ ذِي الْحِجَّةِ وَيَوْمَ عَاشُورَاءَ وَثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ أَوَّلَ اثْنَيْنِ مِنْ الشَّهْرِ وَخَمِيسَيْنِ
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepadaku [Ahmad bin Yahya] dari [Abu Nu'aim] dia berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abu 'Awanah] dari [Al Hurr bin Ash-Shayyah] dari [Hunaidah bin Khalid] dari [istrinya], dari sebagian istri Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bahwa Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam berpuasa sembilan hari dari bulan Dzulhijjah, hari 'Asyura dan tiga hari dalam setiap bulan, yaitu hari Senin pertama dari bulan itu dan dua hari kamis (berikutnya).

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
