أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عِيَاضٌ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَكُنَّا نُخْرِجُ فِي عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَاعًا مِنْ شَعِيرٍ أَوْ تَمْرٍ أَوْ زَبِيبٍ أَوْ أَقِطٍفَلَمْ نَزَلْ كَذَلِكَ حَتَّى كَانَ فِي عَهْدِ مُعَاوِيَةَ قَالَ مَا أَرَى مُدَّيْنِ مِنْ سَمْرَاءِ الشَّامِ إِلَّا تَعْدِلُ صَاعًا مِنْ شَعِيرٍ
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepada kami ['Umar bin 'Ali] dia berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Yahya] dia berkata; Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Dawud bin Qais] dia berkata; Telah menceritakan kepada kami ['Iyadl] dari [Abu Sa'id Al Khudri] dia berkata; "Kami mengeluarkan zakat fitrah di masa Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam sebesar satu sha' gandum, kurma, anggur kering atau susu kering, kami terus melaksanakan hal itu hingga pada masa Mu'awiyah, ia berkata; 'Aku tidak melihat dua mud gandum Syam kecuali menyamai satu sha' gandum'."

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
