أَخْبَرَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ خَالِدٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ الْمُحِلِّ عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍعَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ اتَّقُوا النَّارَ وَلَوْ بِشِقِّ تَمْرَةٍ
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Nashr bin 'Ali] dari [Khalid]; Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Syu'bah] dari [Al Muhil] dari ['Adi bin Hatim] dari Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda: "Takutlah kalian dengan api neraka, walaupun dengan menginfakkan sepotong kurma."

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
