أَخْبَرَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ وَبِيصَ الطِّيبِ فِي مَفَارِقِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعْدَ ثَلَاثٍ
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepada kami ['Imran bin Yazid], ia berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Ali bin Hujr], ia berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Sufyan] dari ['Atho` bin As Saib] dari [Ibrahim] dari [Al Aswad] dari [Aisyah], ia berkata; sungguh saya telah melihat kilauan minyak wangi pada tempat belahan rambut Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam setelah tiga hari.

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
