أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ عَنْ خَلَّادِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ عَنْ أَبِيهِعَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ جَاءَنِي جِبْرِيلُ فَقَالَ لِي يَا مُحَمَّدُ مُرْ أَصْحَابَكَ أَنْ يَرْفَعُوا أَصْوَاتَهُمْ بِالتَّلْبِيَةِ
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Ishaq bin Ibrahim], ia berkata; telah memberitakan kepada kami [Sufyan] dari [Abdullah bin Abu Bakr] dari [Abdul Malik bin Abu Bakr] dari [Khallad bin As Saib] dari [bapaknya] dari Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda: "Jibril telah datang kepadaku, kemudian berkata; wahai Muhammad, perintahkan kepada para sahabatmu agar mengeraskan suara ketika mengucapkan talbiyah."

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
