أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الرَّقِّيُّ الْقَطَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ قَالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبَانُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ أَنَّ عُرْوَةَ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَمْسٌ مِنْ الدَّوَابِّ كُلُّهُنَّ فَاسِقٌ يُقْتَلْنَ فِي الْحِلِّ وَالْحَرَمِ الْكَلْبُ الْعَقُورُ وَالْغُرَابُ وَالْحِدَأَةُ وَالْعَقْرَبُ وَالْفَأْرَةُ
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Abdur Rahman bin Khalid Ar Raqqi Al Qaththan], ia berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Hajjaj], berkata [Ibnu Juraij]; telah mengabarkan kepadaku [Aban bin Shaleh] dari [Ibnu Syihab] bahwa ['Urwah] telah mengabarkan kepadanya bahwa [Aisyah] berkata; Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda: "Lima binatang melata, semuanya boleh dibunuh di luar tanah haram dan di dalam tanah haram, yaitu Anjing buas, Burung Gagak, Burung Rajawali, Kalajengking, serta Tikus."

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
