أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُوَيْدٌ وَهُوَ ابْنُ عَمْرٍو الْكَلْبِيُّ عَنْ زُهَيْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بَيَانٌ أَنَّ وَبَرَةَ حَدَّثَهُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَوَسَأَلَهُ رَجُلٌ أَطُوفُ بِالْبَيْتِ وَقَدْ أَحْرَمْتُ بِالْحَجِّ قَالَ وَمَا يَمْنَعُكَ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَبَّاسٍ يَنْهَى عَنْ ذَلِكَ وَأَنْتَ أَعْجَبُ إِلَيْنَا مِنْهُ قَالَ رَأَيْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَحْرَمَ بِالْحَجِّ فَطَافَ بِالْبَيْتِ وَسَعَى بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepada kami ['Abdah bin Abdullah], ia berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Suwaid yaitu Ibnu 'Amr Al Kalbi] dari [Zuhair], ia berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Bayan] bahwa [Wabarah] menceritakan kepadanya, ia berkata; saya mendengar Abdullah bin Umar dan seseorang bertanya kepadanya; bolehkan saya berthawaf di Ka'bah sedang saya telah berihram untuk melakukan haji? Ia berkata; apa yang menghalangimu? Orang tersebut menjawab; aku melihat Abdullah bin Abbas melarang hal itu sedangkan engkau lebih kami sukai daripadanya. [Abdullah bin Umar] berkata; saya pernah melihat Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam berihram untuk haji lalu beliau melakukan thawaf di Ka'bah dan bersa'i diantara Shafa dan Marwah.

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
