أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ بُدَيْلٍ عَنْ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ عَنْ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ شَيْبَةَ عَنْ امْرَأَةٍ قَالَتْرَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْعَى فِي بَطْنِ الْمَسِيلِ وَيَقُولُ لَا يُقْطَعُ الْوَادِي إِلَّا شَدًّا
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Qutaibah], ia berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Hammad] dari [Budail] dari [Al Mughirah bin Hakim] dari [Shafiyah binti Syaibah] dari [seorang wanita], ia berkata; saya melihat Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam melakukan sa'i di lembah bersungai (bathnul masil) dan bersabda: " Lembah ini tidak bisa dikarungi kecuali dengan perjuangan berat."

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
