أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عُثْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَاحِدِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جَابِرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي زَيْدُ بْنُ أَرْطَاةَ الْفَزَارِيُّ عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ نُفَيْرٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا الدَّرْدَاءِ يَقُولُسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ ابْغُونِي الضَّعِيفَ فَإِنَّكُمْ إِنَّمَا تُرْزَقُونَ وَتُنْصَرُونَ بِضُعَفَائِكُمْ
English Translation
Telah mengkhabarkan kepada kami [Yahya bin Utsman], ia berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Umar bin Abdul Wahid], ia berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Ibnu Jabir], ia berkata; telah menceritakan kepadaku [Zaid bin Arthah Al Fazari] dari [Jubair bin Nufair Al Hadhrami] bahwa ia pernah mendengar [Abu Ad Darda`] berkata; saya pernah mendengar Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda: "Carikan untukku orang yang lemah, sesungguhnya kalian mendapatkan rizqi dan mendapat kemenangan karena orang-orang lemah kalian."

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
