أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ إِسْمَعِيلَ عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْخَيَّرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَاخْتَرْنَاهُ فَلَمْ يَكُنْ طَلَاقًا
English Translation
Telah mengkhabarkan kepada kami ['Amr bin Ali], ia berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abdur Rahman] dari [Sufyan] dari [Isma'il] dari [Asy Sya'bi] dari [Masruq] dari [Aisyah], ia berkata; Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam telah memberikan pilihan kepada kami, kemudian kami memilih beliau dan tidak dicerai.

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
