أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الضَّعِيفُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْخَيَّرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَاخْتَرْنَاهُ فَلَمْ يَعُدَّهَا عَلَيْنَا شَيْئًا
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Abdullah bin Muhammad Adh Dha'if], ia berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abu Mu'awiyah], ia berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Al A'masy] dari [Muslim] dari [Masruq] dari [Aisyah], ia berkata; Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam telah memberikan pilihan kepada kami, maka kami memilih beliau, dan hal tersebut tidak terhitung sesuatupun atas kami.

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
