أَخْبَرَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ هُوَ الدُّورِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ عَنْ زَائِدَةَ عَنْ هِشَامٍ عَنْ حَفْصَةَ عَنْ أُمِّ عَطِيَّةَعَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ رَخَّصَ لِلْمُتَوَفَّى عَنْهَا عِنْدَ طُهْرِهَا فِي الْقُسْطِ وَالْأَظْفَارِ
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Al Abbas bin Muhammad] -yaitu Ad Duri- ia berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Al Aswad bin 'Amir] dari [Zaidah] dari [Hisyam] dari [Hafshah] dari [Ummu 'Athiyah] dari Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam, bahwa beliau memberikan keringanan bagi seorang wanita yang ditinggal mati untuk mengenakan wewangian jika telah suci."

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
