أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْوَزِيرِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ وَهْبٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ وَعَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِعَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَا حَقُّ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ لَهُ شَيْءٌ يُوصَى فِيهِ فَيَبِيتُ ثَلَاثَ لَيَالٍ إِلَّا وَوَصِيَّتُهُ عِنْدَهُ مَكْتُوبَةٌ
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Ahmad bin Yahya bin Az Zubair bin Sulaiman] berkata; aku mendengar [Ibnu Wahb] berkata; telah mengabarkan kepadaku [Yunus] dan ['Amru bin Al Harits] dari [Ibnu Syihab] dari [Salim bin Abdullah] dari [ayahnya] dari Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam, beliau bersabda: "Tidak berhak bagi seorang muslim yang memiliki sesuatu untuk diwasiatkan, untuk bermalam selama tiga malam, melainkan wasiatnya telah tertulis di sisinya."

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
