أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنْ حَجَّاجٍ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ طَاوُسٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْعَائِدُ فِي هِبَتِهِ كَالْعَائِدِ فِي قَيْئِهِ
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Ahmad bin Harb] berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abu Mu'awiyah] dari [Hajjaj] dari [Abu Az Zubair] dari [Thawus] dari [Ibnu Abbas] berkata, "Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda: "Orang yang mengambil kembali pemberiannya seperti orang yang memakan kembali muntahannya."

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
