أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَطَاءٌ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ وَلَمْ يَسْمَعْهُ مِنْهُ قَالَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا عُمْرَى وَلَا رُقْبَى فَمَنْ أُعْمِرَ شَيْئًا أَوْ أُرْقِبَهُ فَهُوَ لَهُ حَيَاتَهُ وَمَمَاتَهُقَالَ عَطَاءٌ هُوَ لِلْآخَرِ
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepada kami ['Ubaidullah bin Sa'id] berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Muhammad bin Bakr] berkata; telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Ibnu Juraij] berkata; telah mengabarkan kepadaku ['Atha] dari [Habib bin Abu Tsabit] dari [Ibnu Umar] dan ia belum mendengarnya darinya, ia berkata, "Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda: "Tidak ada 'Umra dan Ruqba, barangsiapa yang diberi sesuatu dengan system umra atau ruqba maka sesuatu tersebut adalah miliknya, selama hidup dan matinya." ['Atha] berkata, "Sesuatu tersebut untuk orang lain."

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
