أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْخَلَنْجِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ سُعَيْرٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْأَغَارَ قَوْمٌ عَلَى لِقَاحِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَخَذَهُمْ فَقَطَّعَ أَيْدِيَهُمْ وَأَرْجُلَهُمْ وَسَمَلَ أَعْيُنَهُمْ
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Muhammad bin Abdullah Al Khalanji], ia berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Malik bin Su'air] dari [Hisyam bin 'Urwah] dari [ayahnya] dari [Aisyah] radliallahu 'anha, ia berkata; beberapa orang menyerang unta Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam, kemudian menangkap mereka, dan memotong tangan serta kaki mereka dan mencongkel mata mereka.

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
