أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَقُتَيْبَةُ وَاللَّفْظُ لِإِسْحَقَ قَالَا أَنْبَأَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ زَيْدٍعَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ قُتِلَ دُونَ مَالِهِ فَهُوَ شَهِيدٌ
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Ishaq bin Ibrahim] dan [Qutaibah], lafazhnya adalah lafazh Ishaq, mereka berdua mengatakan; telah memberitakan kepada kami [Sufyan] dari [Az Zuhri] dari [Thalhah bin Abdullah bin 'Auf] dari [Sa'id bin Zaid] dari Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam beliau bersabda: "Barang siapa yang terbunuh mempertahankan hartanya maka ia adalah syahid."

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
