أَخْبَرَنِي هَارُونُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ بَكَّارِ بْنِ بِلَالٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ وَهُوَ ابْنُ عِيسَى بْنِ سُمَيْعٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ وَاقِدٍ عَنْ كَثِيرِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ أَنَّ أَبَا فَاطِمَةَ حَدَّثَهُأَنَّهُ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ حَدِّثْنِي بِعَمَلٍ أَسْتَقِيمُ عَلَيْهِ وَأَعْمَلُهُ قَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَيْكَ بِالْهِجْرَةِ فَإِنَّهُ لَا مِثْلَ لَهَا
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Harun bin Muhammad bin Bakkar bin Bilal] dari [Muhammad yaitu Ibnu Isa bin Sumai'], ia berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Zaid bin Waqid] dari [Katsir bin Marrah] bahwa [Abu Fathimah] telah menceritakan bahwa ia berkata; wahai Rasulullah, beritahukan kepadaku suatu amalan yang aku bisa beristiqomah dalam mengamalkannya, Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda kepadanya: "Hendaknya engkau hijrah karena sesungguhnya tidak ada yang menyamainya."

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
