أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَفْصِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ هُوَ ابْنُ طَهْمَانَ عَنْ الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ الْحَجَّاجِ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَعَقَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الْحَسَنِ وَالْحُسَيْنِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا بِكَبْشَيْنِ كَبْشَيْنِ
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Ahmad bin Hafsh bin Abdullah], ia berkata; telah menceritakan kepadaku [ayahku], ia berkata; telah menceritakan kepadaku [Ibrahim yaitu Ibnu Thahman] dari [Al Hajjaj bin Al Hajjaj] dari [Qatadah] dari [Ikrimah] dari [Ibnu Abbas] ia berkata; Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam melakukan aqiqah untuk Al Hasan dan Al Husain radliallahu 'anhuma dengan dua ekor kambing dua ekor kambing.

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
