أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي ثَوْرُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ مَعْدِي كَرِبَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِأَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ لَا يَحِلُّ أَكْلُ لُحُومِ الْخَيْلِ وَالْبِغَالِ وَالْحَمِيرِ
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Ishaq bin Ibrahim], ia berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Baqiyah bin Al Walid], ia berkata; telah menceritakan kepadaku [Tsaur bin Yazid] dari [Shalih bin Yahya bin Al Miqdam bin Ma'dikarib] dari [ayahnya] dari [kakeknya] dari [Khalid bin Walid] bahwa ia mendengar Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda: "Tidak halal makan daging kuda, baghal dan keledai."

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
