أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ وَالْحَارِثُ بْنُ مِسْكِينٍ قِرَاءَةً عَلَيْهِ وَأَنَا أَسْمَعُ وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِمَا قَالَقَالَ عَلِيٌّ لِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ نِكَاحِ الْمُتْعَةِ وَعَنْ لُحُومِ الْحُمُرِ الْأَهْلِيَّةِ يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Muhammad bin Manshur] dan [Al Harits bin Miskin] dengan membacakan riwayat dan saya mendengar, lafazhnya adalah lafazh Al Harits dari [Sufyan] dari [Az Zuhri] dari [Al Hasan bin Muhammad] dan [Abdullah bin Muhammad] dari [ayah mereka], ia berkata; [Ali] berkata kepada Ibnu Abbas; sesungguhnya Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam melarang dari nikah mut'ah dan daging keledai jinak pada saat perang Khaibar.

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
