أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الْعُشَرَاءِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَمَا تَكُونُ الذَّكَاةُ إِلَّا فِي الْحَلْقِ وَاللَّبَّةِ قَالَ لَوْ طَعَنْتَ فِي فَخِذِهَا لَأَجْزَأَكَ
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Ya'qub bin Ibrahim], ia berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abdurrahman] dari [Hammad bin Salamah] dari [Abu Al 'Usyara`] dari [ayahnya], ia berkata; saya berkata; wahai Rasulullah, bukankah menyembelih itu hanya di tenggorokan dan leher bagian bawah? Beliau bersabda: "Apabila engkau menusuk pada pahanya maka cukup bagimu."

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
