أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ سَمُرَةَأَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ الْبَيِّعَانِ بِالْخِيَارِ حَتَّى يَتَفَرَّقَا أَوْ يَأْخُذَ كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا مِنْ الْبَيْعِ مَا هَوِيَ وَيَتَخَايَرَانِ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepada kami ['Amr bin Ali], ia berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Mu'adz bin Hisyam], ia berkata; telah menceritakan kepadaku [ayahku] dari [Qatadah] dari [Al Hasan] dari [Samrah] bahwasanya Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda: "Penjual dan pembeli mempunyai hak memilih hingga mereka berpisah atau setiap mereka mengambil yang ia inginkan dari jual beli tersebut dan saling memilih sebanyak tiga kali."

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
