أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْمُفَضَّلُ عَنْ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ وَأَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ الْمُخَابَرَةِ وَالْمُزَابَنَةِ وَالْمُحَاقَلَةِ وَبَيْعِ الثَّمَرِ حَتَّى يُطْعَمَ إِلَّا الْعَرَايَا
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Qutaibah], ia berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Al Mufadhdhal] dari [Ibnu Juraij] dari ['Atho`] dan [Abu Az Zubair] dari [Jabir] bahwa Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam melarang dari mukhabarah, muzabanah dan muhaqalah, serta menjual buah hingga dapat dimakan kecuali 'araya.

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
