أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ وَيَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ الْحُصَيْنِ عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَخَّصَ فِي الْعَرَايَا أَنْ تُبَاعَ بِخِرْصِهَا فِي خَمْسَةِ أَوْسُقٍ أَوْ مَا دُونَ خَمْسَةِ أَوْسُقٍ
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Ishaq bin Manshur] dan [Ya'qub bin Ibrahim], lafazhnya adalah lafazh Ya'qub, dari [Abdurrahman] dari [Malik] dari [Daud bin Al Hushain] dari [Abu Sufyan] dari [Abu Hurairah] bahwa Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam memberikan keringanan dalam 'araya agar dijual dengan penaksirannya, lima wasaq atau kurang dari lima wasaq.

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
