أَخْبَرَنَا عُمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ رَاشِدٍ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ مُوسَى وَذَكَرَ كَلِمَةً مَعْنَاهَا عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَقْلُ أَهْلِ الذِّمَّةِ نِصْفُ عَقْلِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَهُمْ الْيَهُودُ وَالنَّصَارَى
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepada kami ['Amru bin Ali] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abdur Rahman] dari [Muhammad bin Rasyid] dari [Sulaiman bin Musa] dan dia menyebutkan sebuah kalimat yang maknanya dari ['Amru bin Syu'aib] dari [ayahnya] dari [kakeknya], dia berkata; "Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda: "Diyat ahli dzimmah adalah setengah diyat orang muslim, mereka (ahlu dzimmah) adalah Yahudi dan Nasrani.

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
