أَخْبَرَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ فُضَيْلٍ قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عَمْرَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ تُقْطَعُ يَدُ السَّارِقِ فِي رُبْعِ دِينَارٍ فَصَاعِدًا
English Translation
Telah mengkhabarkan kepadaku [Yazid bin Muhammad bin Fudhail], dia berkata; telah memberitakan kepada kami [Muslim bin Ibrahim], dia berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Aban], dia berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Yahya bin Sa'id] dari ['Amrah] dari [Aisyah] bahwa Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda: "Dipotong tangan pencuri sesuatu seharga seperempat dinar ke atas."

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
