أَخْبَرَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي الرِّجَالِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَمْرَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُقْطَعُ يَدُ السَّارِقِ فِي ثَمَنِ الْمِجَنِّ وَثَمَنُ الْمِجَنِّ رُبْعُ دِينَارٍ
English Translation
Telah mengkhabarkan kepadaku [Ibrahim bin Ya'qub], dia berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abdullah bin Yusuf], dia berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abdur Rahman bin Muhammad bin Abdur Rahman bin Abu Ar Rijal] dari [ayahnya] dari ['Amrah] dari [Aisyah], dia berkata; "Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda: "Dipotong tangan orang yang mencuri sesuatu seharga tameng sedangkan harga tameng adalah seperempat dinar."

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
