أَخْبَرَنَا كَثِيرُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ عَنْ الزُّبَيْدِيِّ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَنَسٌأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ حِينَ زَاغَتْ الشَّمْسُ فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ صَلَاةَ الظُّهْرِ
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Katsir bin Ubaid] dia berkata; Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Muhammad bin Harb] dari [Az-Zubaidi] dari [Az-Zuhri] dia berkata; Telah mengabarkan kepadaku [Anas] bahwa Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam keluar ketika matahari telah tergelincir, lalu shalat Zhuhur mengimami mereka (para sahabat).

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
