أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ عَنْ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُغَفَّلٍ قَالَنَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ التَّرَجُّلِ إِلَّا غِبًّا
English Translation
Telah mengkhabarkan kepada kami [Ali bin Hujr], dia berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Isa bin Yunus] dari [Hisyam bin Hassan] dari [Al Hasan] dari [Abdullah bin Mughaffal], dia berkata; "Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam melarang dari menyisir kecuali berselang hari.".

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
