أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ بْنُ أَبِي السَّفَرِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الصَّمَدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْوَارِثِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرٌ الْمُزَلِّقُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ الْهَاشِمِيُّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَأَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَطَيَّبُ قَالَتْ نَعَمْ بِذِكَارَةِ الطِّيبِ الْمِسْكِ وَالْعَنْبَرِ
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Abu Ubaidah bin Abu As Safar] dari [Abdu Ash Shamad bin Abdul Warits] ia berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Bakr Al Muzalliq] ia berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abdullah bin 'Atha Al Hasyimi] dari [Muhammad bin Ali] ia berkata, "Aku pernah bertanya ['Aisyah], 'Apakah Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam memakai parfum, ia menjawab, "Ya, dengan minyak wangi misk dan 'anbar."

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
