    أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْمُعْتَمِرُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مَنْصُورًا يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ رِبْعِيٍّ عَنْ امْرَأَتِهِ عَنْ أُخْتِ حُذَيْفَةَ قَالَتْخَطَبَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ يَا مَعْشَرَ النِّسَاءِ أَمَا لَكُنَّ فِي الْفِضَّةِ مَا تَحَلَّيْنَ أَمَا إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ مِنْكُنَّ امْرَأَةٌ تُحَلَّى ذَهَبًا تُظْهِرُهُ إِلَّا عُذِّبَتْ بِهِ

    English Translation

    Telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Muhammad bin Abdul A'la] ia berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Al Mu'tamir] ia berkata; Aku mendengar [Manshur] menceritakan dari [Rib'i] dari [Isterinya] dari [Saudara perempuan Hudzaifah] ia berkata, "Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam berkhutbah di hadapan kami: "Wahai kaum wanita, tidakkah kalian itu memakai perhiasan perak, sesungguhnya tidak ada seorang perempuan yang memakai perhiasan emas kemudian ditampakkan (di depan orang laki-laki) kecuali wanita itu akan di siksa oleh Allah karenanya."

    Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.

    An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
