أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَبِيدَةَ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَنَهَى عَنْ مَيَاثِرِ الْأُرْجُوَانِ وَلُبْسِ الْقَسِّيِّ وَخَاتَمِ الذَّهَبِ
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Ahmad bin Sulaiman] ia berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Yazid] ia berkata; telah memberitakan kepada kami [Hisyam] dari [Muhammad] dari [Abidah] dari [Ali] ia berkata, "Beliau melarang dari pelapis pelana yang terbuat dari sutera, memakai kain yang bersulam sutera dan memakai cincin emas."

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
