حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍأَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ بِعَرَفَاتٍ فَقَالَ مَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ إِزَارًا فَلْيَلْبَسْ السَّرَاوِيلَ وَمَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ نَعْلَيْنِ فَلْيَلْبَسْ خُفَّيْنِ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Muhammad bin Basysyar] ia berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Muhammad] ia berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Syu'bah] dari [Amru bin Dinar] dari [Jabir bin Zaid] dari [Ibnu Abbas] bahwasanya ia mendengar Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda di Arafah: "Barangsiapa tidak mendapatkan sarung hendaklah memakai celana panjang, dan barangsiapa tidak mendapatkan sandal hendaklah memakai khuff."

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
