أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي جَدِّي قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَشْعَثَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍعَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَا يَنْظُرُ إِلَى مُسْبِلِ الْإِزَارِ
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Ubaid bin Aqil] ia berkata; telah menceritakan kepadaku [Kakekku] berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Syu'bah] dari [Asy'ats] ia berkata; Aku mendengar [Sa'id bin Jubair] dari [Ibnu Abbas] dari Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam, beliau bersabda: "Sesungguhnya Allah 'azza wajalla tidak melihat orang yang kain sarungnya isbal (di bawah mata kaki)."

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
