أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ عَنْ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ قَالَعَصَمَنِي اللَّهُ بِشَيْءٍ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمَّا هَلَكَ كِسْرَى قَالَ مَنْ اسْتَخْلَفُوا قَالُوا بِنْتَهُ قَالَ لَنْ يُفْلِحَ قَوْمٌ وَلَّوْا أَمْرَهُمْ امْرَأَةً
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Muhammad Ibnul Mutsanna] ia berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Khalid Ibnul Harits] ia berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Humaid] dari [Al Hasan] dari [Abu Bakrah] ia berkata, "Allah telah memeliharaku dengan sesuatu yang aku dengar dari Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam saat Kisra hancur, beliau bertanya: "Siapa yang mereka angkat sebagai raja?" para sahabat menjawab, "Puterinya." Beliau lalu bersabda: "Tidak akan beruntung suatu kaum yang menyerahkan perkaranya kepada seorang wanita."

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
