أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُبَشِّرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ حُسَيْنٍ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ إِيَاسٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ وَكَانَ عَامِلًا عَلَى سِجِسْتَانَ قَالَ كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ أَبُو بَكْرَةَ يَقُولُسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ لَا يَقْضِيَنَّ أَحَدٌ فِي قَضَاءٍ بِقَضَاءَيْنِ وَلَا يَقْضِي أَحَدٌ بَيْنَ خَصْمَيْنِ وَهُوَ غَضْبَانُ
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Al Husain bin Manshur bin Ja'far] ia berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Mubasysyir bin Abdullah] ia berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Sufyan bin Husain] dari [Ja'far bin Iyas] dari ['Abdurrahman bin Abu Bakrah] -ia adalah seorang pegawai di Sijistan- ia berkata; " [Abu Bakrah] menulis surat kepadaku, ia mengatakan, "Aku mendengar Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda: "Janganlah seseorang memberi keputusan dengan dua putusan, dan janganlah seseorang memberi putusan antara dua orang sementara ia dalam keadaan marah."

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
