أَخْبَرَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْوَاحِدِ حَدَّثَنَا مَكْحُولٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَيْرِيزٍ عَنْ أَبِي مَحْذُورَةَأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ الْأَذَانُ تِسْعَ عَشْرَةَ كَلِمَةً وَالْإِقَامَةُ سَبْعَ عَشْرَةَ كَلِمَةًثُمَّ عَدَّهَا أَبُو مَحْذُورَةَ تِسْعَ عَشْرَةَ كَلِمَةً وَسَبْعَ عَشْرَةَ
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Suwaid bin Nashr] dia berkata; telah memberitakan kepada kami ['Abdullah] dari [Hammam bin Yahya] dari ['Amir bin 'Abdul Wahid] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Makhul] dari ['Abdullah bin Muhairiz] dari [Abu Mahdzurah] bahwa Rasulullah Shallallahu'alaihi wasallam bersabda: Adzan itu terdiri dari sembilan belas kalimat. Dan Iqamah terdiri dari tujuh belas kalimat. Kemudian Abu Mahdzurah menghitungnya sembilan belas kalimat dan tujuh belas kalimat.

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
