أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَأَذَّنَ بِالصَّلَاةِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ ذَاتِ بَرْدٍ وَرِيحٍ فَقَالَ أَلَا صَلُّوا فِي الرِّحَالِ فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَأْمُرُ الْمُؤَذِّنَ إِذَا كَانَتْ لَيْلَةٌ بَارِدَةٌ ذَاتُ مَطَرٍ يَقُولُ أَلَا صَلُّوا فِي الرِّحَالِ
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Qutaibah] dari [Malik] dari [Nafi'] bahwasanya [Ibnu 'Umar] pernah adzan untuk shalat pada malam yang sangat dingin dan berangin, dia berkata, "Hendaklah kalian shalat di rumah. Dulu bila malam sangat dingin dan turun hujan, maka Rasulullah Shallallahu'alaihi wasallam menyuruh muadzin untuk mengucapkan, Shallu fii Rihaalikum 'Hendaklah kalian shalat di rumah'."

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
